abstract = {SGLT2 inhibitors are being used more widely for glycemic management in diabetics in the outpatient setting. This class of medication can cause euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis. There is very little knowledge of the physiologic disturbance that can be encountered in these patients admitted to the intensive care unit. Incorrect identification of this acidosis can lead to unwanted medical intervention and increase medical cost. It is imperative to understand that prevention is the main therapy and to be able to correct interpret the laboratory studies.},
