Dr. James S. Gregory, MD FACS is a Trauma/Acute Care/ Critical Care Surgeon at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania, USA. Dr. Gregory graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Completed his residency in General Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at The Ohio State University. He has served as Trauma Medical Director at two Level One Trauma centers (Carle Foundation Hospital – University of Illinois & SUNY Upstate University- Syracuse). He has also held the position of Chair of Surgery at the Carle Clinic and been the Associate Surgical Residency Program Director at Conemaugh Health System and SUNY Upstate. He holds a Professorship at St Francis University in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA and an Associate Professorship at the University of Illinois, Urbana- Champaign, USA. He has published several textbook chapters relating to Surgical/Trauma Care and Education. He helped develop a novel trauma care team in Hangzhou, China in 2014 and remains committed to improving trauma care delivery in China. He has over 30 years’ experience in Trauma and Critical Care and is a former officer in the Navy of the United States of America serving as Director of Trauma for Joint Coalition Naval Forces OIF 2003.
