AME and Wolters Kluwer aim to expand access to global medical research through new collaboration

The agreement broadens the reach of nearly 50 Open Access titles, contributing globally to over 5,000 articles

October 2, 2025 — Wolters Kluwer Health announced a new collaboration with AME Publishing Company, an Open Access publisher specializing in medical journals and books, headquartered in Hong Kong, China.

Journal of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine 2024 CiteScore Released: 0.9

We are pleased to announce that the Journal of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine (JECCM) has achieved its 2024 CiteScore: 0.9, ranking 79 out of 110 journals in the Emergency Medicine category and 84 out of 118 journals in the Critical Care and Intensive Care Medicine category. This milestone underscores our ongoing commitment to publishing impactful research in the field.

Journal of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine (JECCM) is now a member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

Starting from July 2021, AME Publishing Company is formally recognized a publisher member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and over 60 AME-published journals become a member of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as part of AME’s commitment to best practice in scholarly publishing. Journal of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine (JECCM) is among the list of COPE membership.

AME entered an official partnership with Publons to enhance wide-ranging recognition for reviewers

AME Publishing Company entered an official partnership with Publons, a product of Clarivate Analytic Company (which owns Web of Science, EndNote, ScholarOne, among many others), as of April 2020. Around 60 AME journals’ peer review systems are now integrated seamlessly into the Publons platform (https://publons.com/about/home). The partnership was done to recognize our expert peer reviewers spontaneously for their review contribution.

Implementation of transparent peer review at Journal of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine (JECCM)

With a commitment to openness and accountability, and to increase the level of transparency throughout our peer review process, our editorial office has decided to implement a transparent peer review process as an option for all manuscripts submitted to JECCM from March 19, 2020.

Application of the CARE Guideline as reporting standard in the Journal of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine

The Journal of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine welcomes case reports which are supposed to report new observations of diseases, clinical findings or novel/unique treatment outcomes relevant to practitioners in the fields of medicine.

For completeness and transparency for published case reports, the Journal of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine will apply the CARE guidelines (1) as reporting standards for case reports starting from October 14, 2019.
