Yaniv Almog

Dr. Yaniv Almog graduated from Ben-Gurion University School of Medicine in 1986. He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at Hadassah University Hospital, after which he trained in Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins medical institutions for two years and stayed on for additional three years as junior faculty. In 1988, Dr. Almog returned to Beer-Sheva, where he founded and directed the MICU, a position he still holds today.

From 2009 to 20015, he served as the Chairman of Medicine, the largest department, at Soroka University Medical Center for six years. He was also the Chairman of the Admissions Committee at the Goldman School of Medicine, the founder and head of Beit Hamidrash Noam that focuses on humanities and education.
